CNN Center and Centennial Olympic Park

This morning we walked through Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park.

The boys loved the fountains (notice the olympic rings in the pavement).

We got to have lunch at CNN Center with Daddy and Uncle Nate before their CEDIA classes began.

Back at the hotel, before we went out for dinner, Daddy and Uncle Nate were trying to catch up on their voice mail and emails. "Trying" that is...Uncle Nate was so patient as the boys tried to "help" and tell him all about their day.

Visit with Cousin Sarah

We had a wonderful time in Franklin, TN with Brian, Sarah, Joey, Mikey, and Baby Danny. My boys loved playing trains with her boys. Unfortunately, these were the only two pictures I got with them.




After breakfast this morning, we were on the road again, heading south to Atlanta. Of course there was this potty break at Cracker Barrel. Daddy went and filled the car up with gas, while I helped the boys take care of their needs. Then, while we waited we rocked...

...and pondered our next move!

We stopped at Stone Mountain.

The boys ran and stretched their legs after the long car ride.

We picked Uncle Nate up at the Atlanta International Airport and then headed to Longhorn for dinner. The boys were so happy to see him and fought over who would get to sit next to him for dinner.

Visit with Cousins

We left Knoxville yesterday and drove west to Cookville, TN to stay with Jonathan's cousin, Barbara, her husband Chris, and their four kids. We had a wonderful time with them. Labor Day morning, we went hiking at

Burgess Falls State Park.

Heading back to the car, Sophie was very careful to make sure the boys didn't fall.

Back at the house, the kids enjoyed playing outside before dinner.

We left their house after dinner and headed to Franklin, TN to Barbara's sister Sarah's home. Michael was asleep within moments of leaving Barbara's.

Temple Baptist Church and Crown College

This morning we checked out of our hotel bright and early and hit the road for Knoxville, TN. We attended Temple Baptist Church and then spent the afternoon with friends, Ed and Margaret Reese.

The Reese's gave us a tour of the Christian Heritage Center at Crown College. Here is a display case honoring Alfred B. Smith (who my Grandma sang with countless times).
Our favorite part was an entire wing dedicated to the Presidents of the United States, which showcased a photo with quote from each President regarding God and the Bible.

After the tour, we enjoyed a wonderful time of lunch and fellowship together.

Mrs. Reese, who is a chalk artist, used the boys' doodle pads to draw anything and everything the boys could name...icluding Mickey Mouse!

Headin' South this time

This afternoon, we headed south toward Tennessee. Jonathan will be attending CEDIA EXPO next week in Atlanta, GA.

Before leaving town, we stopped by Grandpa and Grandma Wesco's house and Daddy got to try his hand at Uncle Tim's archery practice...

Not bad for a beginner!
We stopped for the night in Lexington, KY. After a quick bite to eat at Chipotle, there was this strong magnetic draw to the Porsche Dealership next door. The next thing I knew, all three of my boys were out of the car and gazing at these pieces of metal with four wheels...
It must be a guy thing.

Finally, I was able to pull them all away with the promise of a quick swim at the hotel before bed.

The boys had a "ball" batting at the giant basketball pinata. Aunt Stephanie had filled it with wonderful goodies...she even had special baggies of healthy goodies inside for lil J and Michael!
