Lil J's 2nd surgery

This morning, we took Lil J in for his 2nd surgery on his finger. Although his injury happened nine months ago, his finger was causing him much pain and the scar tissue was becoming swollen and red. The doctor removed a small knot of something. After a biopsy of the knot, we'll find out if it is a cyst, scar tissue or a stitch which was never removed. After the surgery he told me that Jesus helped him be brave.

He was very brave. The most painful part was the numbing shots. After that, he watched Caillou on my laptop. When all was finished he received some Curious George stickers and a special gift bag full of goodies (including his first kazoo!).

Then Daddy and I took him to McDonald's for lunch. Here he is in the doctor's waiting room drinking hot chocolate before the surgery.
