Sha-Shago

We just returned home from a couple of days in Chicago (or Sha-shago as the boys call it). I think Chicago is their favorite place on earth! (Can't imagine who they'd have picked that up from?!)

We stopped at the Premium Outlets in Michigan City on the way up and picked up a few after-Christmas deals. (Gymboree had some fabulous deals!!!) Then off to downtown. We enjoyed dinner at PF Chang's (Mommy's fave) and then back to the hotel for swimming before bed.

This morning, the boys swam some more. Michael continues to have NO fear of the water (thanks to his swim lessons last summer). It was quite scary, because twice I looked over and he had jumped into the deep end by himself and was swimming toward the wall. Crazy kid almost gave his mother a heart attack both times...for sure a couple additional gray hairs.

Then off to Cheesecake Factory for brunch. Each Christmas, at the base of the John Hancock, is a fabulous train/winter display. The boys were captivated as they watched all that was going around and up and down, etc.
Before leaving town, we enjoyed some window shopping up and down Michigan Ave.
We shopped until they dropped!

It was a great two days together. The past few months have been so crazy with the holidays and fourth quarter sales. It was so nice to just be together, the four of us, and having fun.
